Autumn 2015

As always, the first week back has been busy for all concerned in school.  Ther have been staff training days with Governors preset, new Reception children have started and the class moves, all of which makes school very exciting.

During the first half term, regular visits were made to school to meet with the Headteacher to address a number of issues including staff changes, behaviour in school and the development of objectives for the school.

I have become the Special Governor for our new Reception Class and enjoyed a walk to look at different types of houses in the local area.

Following a well deserved half term holiday, there have been several visits to Revception Class to assist with various activities – note to self – don’t wear black trousers when using flour!

Jayne Waterman and I carried out the Headteacher Performance Management and also attended the Remembrance Celebration in school.

On 20th November I was very proud of the Year 3 Choir who performed as part of the Lichfield Cathedral Music Share Concert at St James the Great Church in Longdon.  The children were an absolute credit to themselves, their parents and the school.

It was also wonderful to see such an excellent turnout of  parents at our Open Morning, all supporting and developing the learning contract between parents and school.

We are now looking forward to our Christmas activities and celebrations to complete a successful term.
