Cleaner – Permanent Post

Grade 1 SCP 3 £24,796 per annum FTE (Pro Rata) – Actual Salary £5,641.24

10 hours per week (Monday to Friday before/after school hours to suit candidate) – Term Time only

Start Date: 01/09/2026

 

What you will do…

You will be responsible for ensuring designated areas of our nursery and school are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

Duties will include:

  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and buffing floors
  • Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, fixtures and fittings
  • Maintaining toilets and associated facilities
  • Waste collection and disposal
  • Using cleaning equipment and materials safely in line with health and safety guidance
  • Supporting the overall safe and welcoming environment for our children

We are looking for someone who:

  • Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Is reliable, trustworthy and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Understands the importance of hygiene in a school/nursery environment
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Is willing to undertake relevant training where required
