Hello and welcome to the Year 4 page!

Introduction to Year 4

In Year 4 we have a large, inviting classroom, overlooking the Outdoor Quadrant, an area with a pond, wildflowers and a vegetable patch. We always try our best in lessons and we work hard to demonstrate the Academy HART Values of Honesty, Adventure, Resilience and Teamwork.

Miss Trubshaw is Year 4 Class Teacher.

This is our long-term planning overview for Year 4:

Year Group Specific information

At the end of Year 4, children take the national ‘Multiplication Tables Check’.

To prepare children for this test, we practise our times tables daily in school but it is important that children keep working on them at home too.

Take a look at some of the useful links below to help practise times tables at home.

PE Days

Our PE days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please come into school in PE kits on those days.

In Year 4, we expect children to:

  • Read at least three times per week
  • Practise their weekly spellings list
  • Practise their times tables on TT Rockstars or equivalent

In addition, each half-term we set ‘Family Learning Projects’ linked to the curriculum being covered in school:
