Hello and welcome to the Year 6 page!
Introduction to Year 6
In Year 6, we have a wonderful, open classroom, which overlooks the spectacular views of the school’s fields and beyond. We work hard in lessons and always try our best. All members of the class support and help one another, showing a caring attitude at all times.
Staff
Miss Price is the Class Teacher in Year 6 and Mrs Kent is the Teaching Assistant.
Planning
This is our long-term planning overview for Year 6:

Every Half-Term, we send more detailed curriculum overviews home for parents. Here is an example:

Year Group Specific information
At the end of Year 6, children take their SATs. These include an English grammar, punctuation and spelling test; an English reading test; a maths arithmetic and reasoning test; and a final maths reasoning test.
To prepare children for these tests, we practise papers at regular intervals during the year. These practice assessments will take place in the autumn and spring term. We also carry out frequent in-class assessments to help prepare the children throughout the year.
